The story of Ghada Jaber, the daughter of a wealthy Lebanese merchant, is a tale of love and sacrifice.
Ghada’s story is unique. While many might not know Chamran, Ghada knew him intimately. For five years, she stood by his side through numerous trials: living under constant Israeli bombardment in southern Lebanon, working in the schools of Amal, participating in the Islamic Revolution of Iran, serving as the defense minister, and fighting against the ruthless Komalas of Kurdistan. Throughout these events, Chamran’s love and devotion for her remained unwavering.

The story of Ghada Jaber, the daughter of a wealthy Lebanese merchant, is a tale of love and sacrifice.
Despite her disdain for war, Ghada fell in love with Mustafa Chamran, a scholarly freedom fighter from Iran who actively participated in the war and taught in the orphanages of the Lebanese Shias. Her journey was fraught with challenges as she communicated her desire to leave behind a life of luxury and safety to her family, choosing instead a path of hardship and poverty for the sake of Chamran.

Murtaza –
A deeply moving and inspiring book about Shaheed Mustafa Chamran. What I liked most was seeing the human side of Chamran—his faith, courage, love, and commitment to serving others. Ghada Jaber’s personal account makes his journey feel much more real and personal. A meaningful read that left a lasting impression on me.
