The Sabr Collective is a Pakistani initiative based on promoting the recommendations of the Ahlulbayt (as) regarding reading and learning for the youth.

According to Imam Sadiq (as), “Knowledge is the ray of inner understanding and the heart of faith”. We hope to be able to spread knowledge on the path of the Ahlulbayt in whatever way we can.

The Sabr Collective takes its name and purpose from Verse 128 of Surah Araaf, “Moses said to his people: ‘Seek help from Allah and have Sabr. Surely the earth belongs to Allah; He grants it to whomever He pleases of His servants, and the best end is for the mutaqeen.”

The Holy Quran states time and again, that to be true muttaqeen – to truly have faith in Allah – and to build upon a God-fearing society, the Muslim must be equipped with two qualities: Iman (faith) and Sabr (perseverance).

Between these qualities, it is Sabr that we have lacked throughout history. It was the lack of Sabr in the absence of Prophet Musa (as) that turned the Israelites against Allah (swt). It was the lack of Sabr, that left Imam Ali (as) alone in Saqifa. It is the lack of Sabr today, that our Imam (ajtf) has not found us ready for his reappearance.

Our goal is to steadily develop Sabr – perseverance – both within ourselves and the ever-growing Shia community at large. May our efforts be accepted in the way of Imam e Zaman (ajtfs).
